Free Printable Music Notes Flashcards, Handouts

Created by a music professional and graphics expert, Linkware Graphics now offers professional, high quality music flashcards or handouts for treble and bass clef music notes - the first sets of a new series. (In other words, more coming soon, too!)

As shown in the image to the left, there are 16 music notes per printable page - 1 page of treble clef notes, 1 page of bass clef notes per set (2 sets) - to use intact as handouts or as individual flashcards. This equates to 32 music notes flashcards plus 32 'cheatsheet' music notes flashcards that include the names of each note for a total of 64 printable, free music note flashcards.

The notes included in each set below begin from Middle C and include over 4 octaves, just over 2 octaves in each clef - up to dⁱⁱⁱ, a.k.a. D(6), and in the bass clef down to B_i, a.k.a. B(1).

Print these out to use intact for music teaching aid handouts, tests, or study - or use as individual flashcards by using a paper cutter or scissors to cut them into individual music note flashcards. Since these were created at high quality specifically for print format, they were designed to print with sharp clarity and clean, crisp lines.

Printing These Music Notes Flashcard Files, Handout Files

All of the printable music flashcards or handouts on this page are designed for a printer's typical default “Portrait” setting using U.S. letter-size paper (8-1/2"x11") with a 1" margin on all sides - with no adjustments needed.

Printing Tips:

For best results, use your printer's highest print quality settings and high quality paper. For flashcard printing, use heavy weight paper or heavy card stock paper if possible (although regular printer paper also works, of course!).

Important Note:

Printers can widely vary, as I'm sure you know. I've tested these flashcards/handouts files with several printers and computers, and I've also received much positive feedback from visitors that the music notes flashcards print out just fine with no adjustments needed to printer settings. Sorry, but I cannot offer individual assistance with your computer and printer - it's best to check your printer's manual for assistance if needed.
